SALES and EVENTS MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

 

FIAF is looking for an experienced Sales & Events Manager for its Events Department.

In this role the candidate will be responsible for:

 

1) Marketing and Sales

- Market and sell FIAFs 3 venues (1 theater and 2 receptions spaces) & catering to corporations, PR firms, event management companies and organizations that hold events;

- Business Development: increase FIAFs spaces visibility and generate new revenue streams (from new as well as existing clients) by being the primary contact of clients for the elaboration of their event

- Identify appropriate networking places to promote and advertise FIAFs venues

- Coordinate with other FIAF Departments, including External Affairs, Membership and Marketing to promote venues with FIAFs constituencies

- Assist Rental & Event Manager on incoming inquiries

 

2) Budgeting & Financing

- Create, manage and monitor the Rental Department budget and forecasts

- Control and monitor all expenses

- Generate all income reports & rental client lists

- Keep accurate records of all rental activities & history

- Keep track and ensure timely payment of all deposits and settlements

 

3) Event Management (Rental Department & FIAFs events)

- Manage all aspects of multi-scale events for clients & for FIAF events from inception to completion

- Work closely with other team members and other front of the house staff to ensure that set up of facilities are in accordance with client's needs for all events including rehearsals, performances, meetings and receptions (tech, staffing & building requirements)

- Welcome clients upon arrival for rehearsals and/or events and ensure smooth run of the show

- Follow up with clients after each event to discuss feedback on event and to give clients the opportunity to book future events

- Maintain master schedule for all FIAF & rental events in Artifax

- Meet weekly with all FIAF parties involved to oversee schedules and planning of the events for upcoming months.

 

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required

Commercial background experience

Excellent customer service skills

Computer literacy a must

Organized, detail-oriented and multitasking skills

Valid US permit/visa

Good level of French required
