About the FACC

The French-American Chamber of Commerce, New York Chapter (FACC-NY) is a bi-national, independent, non-profit association devoted to the development of economic relations between the U.S. and France, and to the growth of its nearly 1,000 members in the New York area. FACC members range from multinational corporations to startups, are French and American, and cover the entire spectrum of the French economic presence in NYC, including fashion/luxury, technology, finance, food/beverages, professional services and more.

 

Membership services include: personalized member-to-member introductions, 40+ networking & information sharing events (including Key Sector events), online networking tools (directory, LinkedIn group), and human resource services, among others.

 

One of the key goals of the FACC is to continuously broaden its membership to include a significant representation of Key Industry Sectors (luxury, technology, sustainability, food/beverage, finance) as well as American-owned companies. These two objectives are central to fostering meaningful business exchanges between French and American industry executives.

 

Membership Associate Mission & Tasks
Reporting to the Associate Director of Membership, the Membership Associate will:

  1. Carry out and document targeted member and prospect outreach in Key Sectors and American companies, using a variety of channels (events networking, LinkedIn, prospect databases, etc.).

  2. Actively engage members and non-members through pro-active, customized introductions.

  3. Ensure data integrity of membership directory, ensure meaningful adoption of CRM-based networking tools.

  4. Promote J-1 Intern visa as an important value proposition, particularly for Key Sector American companies.

  5. Participate in FACC events and represent the FACC at other French-American business community events.

  6. Manage programs for New Members onboarding (social events, Ambassadors program).

  7. Act as staff liaison to one Key Sector Members Committee.

 

Qualifications

The candidate must speak and write fluent English and be proficient in French, hold at least a Bachelors degree and demonstrate solid experience in sales or business development. Experience in international business and not-for-profit associations is welcome, as is familiarity with New Yorks French-American business community.

 

This person will be an energetic team player who will be involved in all aspects of the FACCs activities and contribute his/her individual know-how to the organization.

 

This position reports to the Associate Director of Membership and collaborates closely with all other team members.  Salary is commensurate with experience and skills.  Benefits include health, dental and group life insurance and a 401-K plan.
