About the French-American Chamber of Commerce:

The French-American Chamber of Commerce, New York Chapter (FACC-NY) is a private, non-profit 501(c) (6) organization. The Mission of the FACC is to provide the networks and opportunities, experiences and understanding, that empower successful business relationships between and for members. Via international training programs for young professionals (Exchange Visitor Program & American Outbound), trade services, an online member directory and networking opportunities, the FACC nurtures relationships between French and American professionals to propel individuals, companies and sectors to greater understanding and success. The FACC-NY Chapter is part of a national network of 18 regional chapters and a member of the CCIFI network.

 

The French-American Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)(3) subsidiary of the FACC-NY, offers scholarships opportunities to Americans pursuing graduate business degrees (MBAs) in France and French students pursuing similar degree programs in the United States.

 

Job description:

The FACC is hiring a Member Relationship Manager to join the Membership Team.

Membership services include personalized member-to-member introductions, 40+ networking & information sharing events (including Key Sector events), online networking tools (directory, LinkedIn group), visibility opportunity via FACC social media, and French interns visa sponsoring services, among others.

 

One of the key goals of the FACC is to continuously broaden its membership to include a significant representation of Key Industry Sectors (luxury, technology, sustainability, food/beverage, finance) as well as American-owned companies. These two objectives are central to fostering meaningful business exchanges between French and American executives.

 

This position reports to the Associate Director of Membership and collaborates closely with all other team member (Events, Communications, International Careers).

 

Responsibilities are centered around two axes:

  1. Recruit new members and significantly grow the FACC NY network

  2. Actively engage the FACC NY members community

 

Tasks include but are not limited to:

Recruit:

  • Contribute to the realization of monthly and annual membership sales KPIs for both individual and corporate memberships

  • Identify complementary external networks and propose new initiatives to qualify, cultivate and convert new member prospects via FACC events, external events & conferences, LinkedIn, member referrals, etc.

  • Suggest and develop strategies to grow key sector representation among French & American professionals and companies

Retain:

  • Outreach to targeted members to encourage their ongoing engagement and eventual renewal

  • Master the CRM currently used at the FACC NY and ensure the accuracy of contact information, job titles and companies of members

  • Facilitate customized introductions creating synergies for members and prospects

  • Maximize the usage of the online directory by members

  • Act as staff liaison to one Key Sector Members Committee

Additional responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful event attendance and participation of key sector professionals

  • Manage the FACC CoWorking space: respond to inquiries for daily, weekly and long-term desk and conference room rentals, ensure invoicing and payment from renters and the realization of an annual revenue objective.

  • Learning Expeditions: work with France-based agent to cultivate leads, devise tailored programs in the NY business ecosystem, secure speakers and realize annual revenue targets.

 

Qualifications

The candidate must speak and write fluent English and be proficient in French, hold at least a Bachelors degree and demonstrate solid experience in sales or business development. Experience in international business and not-for-profit associations is welcome, as is familiarity with New Yorks French-American business community.

The candidate is an energetic team player who will be involved in all aspects of the FACCs activities and contribute his/her individual know-how to the organization.
