Baron Francois Ltd is a family-owned wine and spirits importer and distributor located in the Financial District of Manhattan. Almost 100% of the wines in Baron Francois extensive portfolio are from family-owned single vineyards with whom the company maintains faithful relations vintage after vintage. Baron Francois tasting committee is very strict in order to ensure the best value to our customers and final consumers. We have the objective to select elegant and well-balanced wines from producers who embody their terroir.

We are looking for a full time Customer Service & Credit Assistant to fill a fast-paced and challenging role who is an enthusiastic, well-organized candidate to provide administrative support for customer service, sales representatives, and company staff. This person must be willing to help make a sale and follow up with customers to make sure the product sold has been delivered as promised. Our ideal candidate will be interested in learning the wine business and committing to long-term growth with our exciting company. 

Major Responsibilities:

  •           Provide customer service support for sales staff and customers
  •           Receive orders via telephone and e-mail and input orders into sales     database
  •           Receive all incoming telephone calls
  •           Greet clients and visitors to the office
  •           File all invoices and orders
  •           Track shipping and delivery charges
  •           Mail statements to customers 
  •           Deposit checks, confirm payments, credit/adjust errored invoices
  •           Assist with monthly reporting and inventory
  •           Receive and distribute mail accordingly
  •           Other tasks as assigned

This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  •           2 year experience in a customer-facing role
  •           Good time management and ability to act under pressure and deadlines
  •           Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a very fast-paced role
  •           Strong computer literacy
  •           High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  •           Must have excellent writing and proof-reading skills
  •           Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
  •           Experience in and/or knowledge of wine and spirits industry preferred
