Associate - International Career Development Programs

 

The French-American Chamber of Commerce's International Career Development Programs department is hiring a temp to hire, full-time, paid Associate. This is an entry- to mid-level position.

About FACCs International Career Development Programs

The FACC is an officially designated State Department sponsor for the Exchange Visitor Program in support of the Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961. The FACCs International Career Development Programs department (ICDP) sponsors trainees and interns to come to the U.S. on the J-1 visa and has a reciprocal out-bound program for Americans to work in France. ICDP also promotes international careers and talent recruitment through its CareerConnect job/internship online platform.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following areas:

  • Account Management

The Associate will act as an Account Manager/ARO (Alternate Responsible Officer) in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and be responsible for 25+ visa applications per month. He/she will ensure J-1 visa compliance in accordance with U.S. Department of State regulations and determine company and candidate eligibilities through collection and review of visa application documents. This person will be involved in every aspect of the daily operations of the FACCs ICDP exchange programs including reading, organizing and interpreting documents in French and English, SEVIS entry, program compliance, and managing program incidents and reporting accordingly.

  • Client & Member Relations

The Associate will interface with FACC members, trainees and interns, non-members, HR representatives and other ICDP constituents on a daily basis in written, spoken and electronic communication in both English and French. He/she will need to have a highly developed sense of customer service, urgency when dealing with client and member needs, professionalism and flawless written and spoken business French and English.

  • Project Management and Development

The Associate will have the opportunity to manage different projects within the ICDP community, with a specific focus on program expansion and our CareerConnect online job/internship platform. He/she will need to take a leadership role in select aspects of program implementation as assigned by the Associate Director. He/she must possess a great attention to detail and be an innovative thinker with the ability to work independently. The Associate will promote the cultural exchange mission of ICDP and be responsible for projects to ensure program expansion.  

 

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree

  • Complete fluency (speaking, reading and writing) in French/English

  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Solid understanding and firsthand experience of French culture, education and business

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and development

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a related field (international exchange or educational programs, international business)
