How it works

Once you secure an internship through CareerConnect, you will be required to enter the United States on a J-1 visa. The FACC is designated directly by the U.S. government to act as a J-1 visa sponsor, and we have a dedicated bilingual team that will help you obtain your visa and support you throughout your internship in the United States. The FACC will ask your company to pay for the visa sponsorship fees, so you can focus on preparing for life in the U.S.!

Is the J-1 visa program right for you?

We think so! But before you start applying, make sure you meet the requirements of one of following programs:
- Intern Program:
you are currently enrolled in a degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the U.S.; or you have graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to your internship start date
- Trainee Program: you have a degree or professional certificate from a foreign post- secondary academic institution and at least one year of related work experience outside the U.S.; or you have five years of work experience outside the U.S. in the internship field.

“My experience in the U.S. was an incredible opportunity for me, and it will impact my future career. First of all, I could improve my English level which is really important nowadays for a French engineer. Secondly, I have a professional experience in the U.S. which is really good to obtain a first job. This experience shows a future employer that I can adapt myself to another culture and another country. And finally, thanks to this internship I have a lot of new contacts in a big company.” – Adrien D., AREVA
